French Bulldog to become UK's #1 dog

The Labrador has been the UK’s most popular dog breed since 1990 (that’s a whopping 27 years!), and is closely followed by the Cocker Spaniel. But, our big and bouncy friends might soon be pipped to the number one spot by a tiny alternative.

French Bulldog numbers have seen almost a 50% rise from 2015-16, and the Kennel Club predicts that they will be at number one by 2018. Known for its big, bat like ears and small, squishy face, the French Bulldog has been around for over one hundred years, and, it is widely agreed, is a descendant of the English Bulldog.

But, as with all dogs, always make sure you fully research the breed, background, and breeder before you find a new furry friend!
